Hello everybody,

I've made a small list of points that need some
advices/discussion/work/etc.

I know that's the holidays, so no hurry .. but if somebody has some
free time so spend and what to give a hand :)

So here it is :

Need some look/advices:

- 219732: libgtkhtml2-0: Messages on install
Somebody has an idea of the problem ?

- 194108: libgtop2 is improperly linked
And no easy way to fix that with current version (lot os .so files
an recursive dependencies). Gnome 2.5 version merge the .so files
and solve that .... should we switch to 2.5 version and rebuild
  dependencies before Sarge ?

- 208344: gconf2 lock on nfs ?
Somebody has an idea of the problem ?

- 200433: nautilus and libnautilus dependencies
Is it a bug ? What should be done ?

- 154539: nautilus Starthere files should not be in /etc/X11/starthere
Is it a problem ? Seems to not be easy to move ... should we work
on that or is it a wontfix ?

- 167022: metacity support ewmh-x-window-manager
Should we add this alternative ?

To fix before sarge:

- gconf need to include API doc (the API was missing from 2.4.0
tarball and doesn't go into diff because of png files)
- gdm need to have working i18n on boot (see with glibc maintainers)
- LC_ALL in libbonobo: #214766 (patch attached to the bug report) ?
- portmap

Extra stuffs to do:

- clean gtk+2.0 bugs (check, forward to bugzilla, ask to reporters for
   details, etc ...)
- some manpages missing:
  - gconftool-2
  - gucharmap
  - libgtop_daemon2

That's all for the moment. In fact most of the GNOME packages seems to
be in a pretty good state, the BTS is pretty clean (most of bugs are
reported to bugzilla or waiting on a submitter's reply) so I think there
is no hurry at all :)

Merry Christmas & Happy new year,

Sebastien Bacher
