Bug#267256: gnome-mud: Cannot read default configuration from gconf

It never starts successfully, everytime an error window pops up with the
message:

"The default configuration values could not be retrieved correctly."
"Please check your GConf configuration, specifically that the schemas
have been installed correctly."

But I never messed up with gconf of gnome-mud, I just "apt-get
install"-ed them.
In /etc/gconf/schemas there is a "gnome-mud.schemas" file, and with the
program gconf-editor I can browse the configuration keys.
