We, all did.
gnome-settings-daemon is working, and not intended for direct user run.

Ignore if u want.
I did wrote technical-level arguments, but not replying because i closed
the bug is easier than give counter-arguments, nobody is dupe.

U r asking capplets & applications using gnome-settings-daemon to work
in a way they were not designed to, to take advantage of working in another
environnement, ok, this is your desire and i respect it.
So now as is it a wish, and NOT something broken, it is severity
wishlist.

As this bug has been forwarded to authors, let them tell us if they r
willing or not to improve their achitecture this way. But be prepared
they can refuse.

Nevertheless you can't say gnome-settings-daemon is not achieving its
goals ; other gnome applications for which it has been created are using
it successfully. And using it in a twisted manner is NOT a relevant
argument for a bugreport of severity important.

I closed this bug report because i am not, in any manner, going to help
users yelling at maintainers and being so disrespectful towards seb128
and other GNOME Team member's work and opinions.
And if r not to keep a correct tone, nobody is going to help you,
whatever opinion he has got about this problem.
