so, let me know if I'm right:

- - GNOME and KDE menus correctly display .png
- - Debian Menu on GNOME/KDE accepts and display .png
- - other implementations may fail on .png
- - if .xpm is used, there's no problem in GNOME/KDE and other
  implementations

If the above is correct, I've no problem to convert the .png into .xpm
(start GIMP-2.0, open .png, save as .xpm, threshold 127) and submit bugs
where needed :-)

I'm waiting for someone's confirmation, please.
