After a little investigation it turns out this might be an alsa bug. I trie=
d =20
launching your command and it was still skipping. Yet I figured out that it=
 =20
skips on high disk usage not on high cpu load. So gst-launch-0.8, rhythmbox=
, =20
and beep-media-player with alsa plugin, skips mp3 when copying about 100MB =
=20
file in background, beep-media-player with oss plugin does not skip when =
=20
copying the same file in background. So it is an alsa's problem, not =20
rhythmbox's.
