Well, the 2.6.1-4 upload supposedly omits -Wl,-z,defs on alpha and ia64;
and after upgrading, I still get segfaults of the same variety. I'm
reopening this bug, and will try to rebuild myself leaving out the
-Wl,-O1 option.
