Hello,

this is to indicate that I finally understood where the bug #253519
for gnome-terminal did come from.

Apparently, the upgrade to Gnome2.6 takes for granted that user uses
Epiphany as the browser.

That is evident when configuring the GConf database item

/apps/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http
or
/apps/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/https

which both have the following key:value pair:

command:epiphany %s

When replacing "epiphany" with "mozilla-firefox" I could use
gnome-terminal the usual way.

Thanks to reading up to this point,

Filippo Rusconi
