Package: gdm
Severity: normal

On a fresh debian install where the Desktop task is selected, both gnome
and kde are installed (for religious reasons of course). Problem is that
gdm defaults to starting kde in this install. This is liable to be
confusing, it would make sense to get the desktop environment that
matches the login manager by default. I think that incrasing
gnome's alternative's priority (kde is currently higher is one fix.)
There are probably others..

This should be all right with gnome-session 2.6.1-6 that was just
uploaded. I increased the priority to place it before kde.
