Hi,

The problem is related to the -z defs flag passed to the linker.  This
has been confirmed as a binutils bug that should be fixed in the
current binutils release.  See=20

You may want to wait until the fixed version makes it into unstable
before re-enabling the flags in question.

However, I would still suggest you apply the patch (same goes for bug
#252401) -- the point of -z defs is to warn on undefined references so
you know what is missing.  This is (presumably) to let the linker do
symbol versioning correctly, which is useful.  Adding the patch
previously suggested makes all undefined references resolved.
