Marc,
=20
   Sorry for taking so long to respond, but I am away from my home=20
workstation, so I tried very hard to reproduce the problem through VNC,=20
and I was successful. I took a set of screenshots to help explain the=20
problem.

   The first (http://www.stanford.edu/~adar/images/1.png) shows my deskto=
p=20
with the window list at the top containing an instance of calculator and=20
gedit. The second (http://www.stanford.edu/~adar/images/2.png) shows the=20
location that I must click to get the desired behavior. It is a very thin=
=20
(perhaps 1px wide) strip at the top of the window list, spanning its whol=
e=20
length. Image three (http://www.stanford.edu/~adar/images/3.png) shows=20
exactly what happens when I click there. The entries in the window list=20
vanish, but my applications are still intact. Finally, in image five=20
(http://www.stanford.edu/~adar/images/5.png), I click on where the=20
calculator entry used to be in the window list, and the entries return!

   Let me know if you need any additional information.

-Adar
