Bug#247209: Modemlights not aware of connection status.

Modemlights does not seem to be aware of established connections.  When
clicking on it, it correctly establishes a connection (by invoking pon
dsl-provider, in my case).  But then it does not switch its color and
generally doesn't seem to be convinced that the connection has been
established---for when I click on it again, it invokes pon dsl-provider
all over again.
