If that pbuilder is configured to pick packages from experimental by
default that's true.

But if it defaults to sid packages (which do satisfy the build dependencies
as you currently have them) the build will fail. The configure script
requires newer versions of e.g. libgtk, libgnome, libgnomeui than are
ensured by the stated build dependencies. Additionally, while configure
doesn't complain about it, with sid's libpanel-applet2-dev you get the
undefined reference to `panel_applet_get_locked_down'.
