[ If anyone can still freeze gpdf, please read on. ]

Wolfgang Pfeiffer <roto@gmx.net> - Wed, Oct 06, 2004:

> Starting gpdf, opening successfully a pdf file in it, and then as root:

> tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:631 0.0.0.0:* LIS=
TEN 720/cupsd

As far as I understand, everything is now fine on your side?

Just to be sure, I'd like to understand when you installed "cupsys".
 Did you:
 a) install cupsys, reboot your system, then got the bug, then rebooted,
    your system and couldn't reproduce?
 b) install cupsys, then got the bug, then rebooted and couldn't
    reproduce?
 c) got the bug, install cupsys, then rebooted and couldn't reproduce?
 d) none of the above?

If you have a), please look for errors / warning in your cups.log from
the day you got the bug. Send interesting lines if they are any.

Does someone still have the bug? Could you please look at programs
listening on TCP port 631 (if any)?

     Thanks,
