It always *has been* fine here: My first message in this thread had this
subject line:
"gpdf works here with minor issues: ppc, unstable, kernel 2.4.25"

And in the body of it: 
"So all I can sayuntil now: 274333 is unreproducible here"

All this already on Oct 3 2004 ....
