Hi,

I'm sure the bug is related to this upstream changelog, thus, the bug
should be forwared:

2004-09-28  James Henstridge  <james@jamesh.id.au>

Fixes bug #153619 and Ubuntu bug #1587.

* menu.c (panel_make_menu_icon): same here.

* button-widget.c (get_missing): use
gdk_pixbuf_new_from_file_at_size() to load image, so that backends
such as the SVG one can render the image at an appropriate size.
(load_pixbuf): same here.

and

2004-09-21  James Henstridge  <james@jamesh.id.au>

* panel-addto.c (panel_addto_make_pixbuf): use
gdk_pixbuf_new_from_file_at_size() to give the loader a hint about
the size we want to load the image at. If the image is still too
large, scale it down to fit.
(panel_addto_make_applet_model): update to pass in the desired
GtkIconSize for the icon rather than a pixel size.
(panel_addto_make_application_model_r): same here.
Fixes bug #153135.

gnome-panel 2.8.1-1 doesn't fix this, so when I have a little time will
investigate on the issue.

Regards, Emilio
