Of course I have. The first thing you do when there is something wrong
with Mozilla & friends is to delete all sorts of files. 

Only after that I tried other options, including recompiling
mozilla-bonobo.

However, deleting pluginreg.dat is - unfortunately - NOT the solution.
And BTW I wrote before that it was same with Konqueror. Furthermore it
can be reproduced in a pristine test account.

So it is really something on the plugin's end and not a browser issue.
Could it, by chance, be related to the changed MIME types handling in
GNOME 2.8?
