Bug#272694: gossip: Window grows while typing in group chat.

I noticed that since I installed the latest version of gossip in sarge,
I have this issue when I type messages in group chat.

If I start typing a long message, when I hit the right side of the window,
instead of scrolling the text, it actually GROWS the window!  And if you 
keep typing, it will actually grow it right on off the right hand side of
the screen!

I had a co-worker test this and it does the same thing on his sarge box
also.

This problem did not exist in previous versions to the best of my knowledge.
