Bug#273061: gnome: Gnome file dialog got unusable with keyboard

Package: gnome
Version: 58
Severity: important

Before updating gnome to the current 2.6 version, the file opening
dialog hat a text input field where one could navigate using tab input
completion (just as in bash and other tools). This provided a very fast
and convenient way to navigate through the file system.

Now, this line has gone, thus making navigation much slower (I'm not
even shure if it is possible without using the mouse altogether).

For me, this is a serious degradation in usability of gnome apps.

Thanks for your patience,
Markus Schaber
