Bug#302724: /usr/games/sol: sol crashes in some games

sol crashes in some games, typically when it finally looks like I'm
going to win ;-)

most recently, it crashed in "plait" with the following output to a
terminal.

unfortunately, this is incredibly hard to reliably reproduce so I do
not have a backtrace.
