Hi,

as you might have seen on the bug record on upstream's bugzilla, this wishlist
request won't be resolved, as evince is now the default multi-purpose document
viewer for the GNOME desktop, and should be used as so.

I, personally, wouldn't have any interest in eog implementing this, as it
doesn't quite make sense. I'd rather have this bug closed, if you have no
objections. If you are still interested in this feature, though, we can leave
this open with the 'wontfix' tag for some time or even forever.
