Bug#316853: nautilus-data: GNOME session startup is blocked

Package: nautilus-data
Version: 2.10.1-3
Severity: important

Note: I have the same symptoms as in bug 316798 (gnome-control-center).
But I do not know what causes my problem. I have gnome-control-center
version 2.10.1-3 installed. Additionally, I am just 90 % sure that
nautilus-data caused the problem, since I do not know what other
packages were upgraded and the problem occured the day after :(

After I upgraded the nautilus-data package, I have experienced the
following
behaviour:

Logging in with gdm to GNOME the splash screen showed up, but no symbols
were shown on the bottom line that something loaded (for example
metacity, nautilus, etc.). The hard drive is working for some seconds
and stops working then. After an reboot (ctrl+alt+del) I could log in as
normal. Since yesterday, I was not able to log into GNOME at all.

I am the only user not being able to log in. The difference to the other
users is that I have configured GNOME to automatically start epiphany
at start up. The other users do not do this. (I am not aware about other
differences.)

I am no professional, so I welcome instructions how I can track down
more informations on this issue.

Thank you in advance
Paul
