Package: gdm
Version: 2.4.4.7-3
Severity: important

Changing the DefaultSession to anything but the default has no effect,
it always falls back to what the Xsession gets from
/etc/Xsession.d/50xfree86-common_determine-startup. Putting
"STARTUP=/usr/bin/gnome-session" in the Xsession itself does start
gnome-session like I want.

I haven't tested this on sid.
