Bug#268337: Please support etch way of writing /etc/hosts

In etch, debian-installer will set up /etc/hosts as follows:

    127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
    <ADDR> foo.bar foo

for a system with system hostname "foo", where '<ADDR>' will be either a
traditional
permanently assigned IP address or the address 127.0.1.1. The hostname
will never
be written as an alias of localhost.localdomain. Please modify
gnome-system-tools
so that it does not corrupt an /etc/hosts file that is set up in this way.
