Version: 1.3.0-1
Severity: important

Hi!

gksu ends with segmentation fault when using the keyring.
I can replicate this behaviour by launching, for instance:

  $ gksu synaptic

gksu first asks me root password. Then, I'm asked to create a default
keyring by providing a password for it. After I entered the password
and clicked on OK, gksu crashes. From now on, 'gksu synaptic' will
crash immediately. I have to delete the file
~/.gnome2/keyrings/default.keyring to use it again.

As a workaround, I set 'always-ask-password' to 'yes' in
/etc/gksu.conf.

Hi,

gksu used to crash when using GNOME Keyring on amd64 because of a
feature in this architecture which disallows stack execution. In case
you want more information, it can be found on
http://bugs.debian.org/318031.

Otherwise, you may just be glad for knowing that it's now fixed. Thanks
for reporting this bug, that is now being closed.

Regards,
