Bug 1 for wins settings in shares-admin:

shares-admin doesn't read the right value for "wins server" from
smb.conf (i have it in my smb.conf already). If I open the wins settings
dialog in shares-admin wins support is disabled. But i have set a
wins-server in smb.conf before.

Bug 2 for wins settings in shares-admin:

If i don't care for Bug 1 and set a wins server for 192.168.0.1 (as i
have it already in my smb.conf) and press on OK and close shares-admin,
then shares-admin doesn't write it to smb.conf. Instead of writing the
right value it writes "wins support = no". This is wrong.

OK lets compare, I have now this in my config:
[global]
wins server = 192.168.0.1
wins support = no

But Samba Docs tell
"wins server = xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" sets up a wins server for use, which is
located somewhere in the network and not on the local host.

"wins support = no" disables wins emulation on the local host.
"wins support = yes" enables wins emulation on the local host.

So these are 2 different parameters, and "wins support" shouldn't be set
if "wins server" is requested. If I disable "wins server" manually in my
smb.conf and try to set it through shares-admin, then I get just "wins
support = no" in my smb.conf .

Bug 3 in wins settings in shares-admin:

This is a usability thing. "wins support" and "wins server" belong to
[global] in smb.conf . It doesn't make sense to open a settings dialog
for a share first to be able set a wins server or wins support. I would
prefer to have a button for a global dialog on the main window, which
would be more intuitive (if there is no share, nobody can set/check
these wins options [if the wins part would work in shares-admin]).

Ok, that's it - thx for your time.
