Package: gdm
Version: 2.4.1.6-2
Severity: wishlist

Martin Michlmayr obtained from Alexis Younes the permission to
distribute some his pictures under the GPL. I have included a GDM
theme based on one of them in gdm-themes.

These pictures are very popular among our users, and I agree with Martin
that this theme would make a good default choice. This requires a few
modifications in gdm:
1) use gdmgreeter by default instead of gdmlogin
2) make "ayo" the default theme instead of "circles"
3) either:
   a) depend on gdm-themes. I can promise to keep the size of the
package below 1 MB so that it is not too much for our users.
   b) include this theme directly in the gdm package. In this case,
it would probably be better to put gdm in the pkg-gnome subversion
repository so that the modifications can be easily updated.

Regards,
