Subject: gdm: Please update the package
Package: gdm
Version: 2.6.0.8-1
Severity: important

*** Please type your report below this line ***
I request to have the package updated because there is a new upstream
release which fixes a problem. It is the following: If two users are
logged in already and both of their sessions are locked by xscreensaver,
no new user can log in. That is because the xscreensaver-button calls
gdmflexiserver, which pops up a window asking whether one wants to
continue an already running session. But that window cannot be seen
because it is hidden by xscreensaver, nor is it of any use anyway,
because the new user can not interact with it. This is fixed with
gdm version 2.8.0.5: gdmflexiserver has now an option --startnew to omit
the session window and instead start a new server immediately. It would
be very nice to have that new feature in the debian package!
