Yes, of course. The bug report was meant to make it easier to install 
and need to edit one less conf file.

The messsages from Pelle that were the basis of the decisin (at least it 
looks so).

Meanwhile there has appeared a new comment from Paul van Tilburg that I 
agree with.

I also agree that Gnome is more at fault and it might be practical to 
follow gnome until it is fixed dpi-wise (if there are any plans on 
that). Nevertheless this is a bug.
