Package: gnome-panel
Version: 2.8.3-1
Severity: important

When I restart gdm, my bottom panel comes up but does not display any applets -- e.g., the window-tracking applet, the launch buttons, etc.

I moved the panel to the right side using properties, and the applets did display. I moved the panel back to the bottom of the screen, and then the applets re-appeared.

Aside from moving to system 2.6.11, the only other change I've made recently in the panel itself was to experiment with a smaller size for the panel. I've reset it to a larger size, but the problem still occurs.

Please let me know if I can provide any further information.

Great =3D), I'll close the bug, then.

There's no easy way to map. You need to check the version of each
component installed in your system, usually. The 'gnome' package is
simply a way to depend on all the gnome components, and there're no
guarantees about it bringing a specific version.

See ya,
