Bug#331124: gksu: Does not work with pam_wheel.so enabled

Edward J. Shornock debian-pkgs at crazeecanuck.homelinux.net
Sat Oct 1 17:48:39 UTC 2005

Package: gksu
Version: 1.3.5-2
Severity: important

With the following in /etc/pam.d/su

# Uncomment this if you want wheel members to be able to
# su without a password.
auth sufficient pam_wheel.so trust

gksu hangs forever, without any visual prompts. Failure occurs with both
su mode and sudo mode.

Attached to this report is the output of `strace gksu vi` and pstree
while gksu isn't responding.

If there's any more information that's needed, please let me know so we
can try to squash this bug once and for all. :)
