Package: epiphany-browser
Version: 1.4.8-3

When trying to start epiphany from thunderbird it will crash if it is
not already open and on the same desktop.

I filed the bug on the Gnome bugtracker as Bug 317321
"http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=317321"

their bug status is now:
This is a bug in your distribution, please report it to debian.

wild guess is that it is because of a mixed up mozilla library.

pasted below is the info from the bugtracker:

Distribution: Debian 3.1
Package: epiphany
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.8.3 1.4.8
Gnome-Distributor: Debian
Synopsis: trying to start epiphany on a thunderbird email link
Bugzilla-Product: epiphany
Bugzilla-Component: General
Bugzilla-Version: 1.4.8
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.8.1)
Description:
Description of the crash:
when starting epiphany from thunderbird on gnome results in a crash
during starting epiphany.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. get a mail with links in thunderbird
2. set epiphany as default to open html
3. see a crashing epiphany after clicking on the link

Expected Results:

should just fire up the browser. crashing is not intended

How often does this happen?

everytime
