Bug#361922: totem-xine: video too bright on screen

I've seen this behaviour with totem on a couple of Sarge installations.
On the other one video would turn brighter and brighter during playback.
Restarting totem cured that one.

Currently I'm seeing this when playing
http://svt.se/content/1/c6/57/11/05/2006-0407-jon.ram with totem.
Attached screenshot displays the brightness difference: video playback
is too bright while a totem screen shot looks ok. The stream plays just
fine with xine. 

One workaround is to manually adjust brightness and contrast from 50 %
to about 25 %.

I've installed additional codecs and stuff from "deb
ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/ sarge main", if that makes a
difference.
