I'm quite surprised by this, but it seems you are right. I can assure you I
haven't deliberately ignored dependencies; I'm well aware of the adverse
effects that can have :)

I'm unsure which version I'm supposed to have, but apt-cache policy only
gives two options: 2.8.1-3 and 2.12.7-3. Since gdm requires a librsvg2-2 >=
2.9.5, 2.8.1-3 is not an option. It's therefore quite logical that 2.12 was
installed.

I've found that when I apt-get remove gnome-games and apt-get install it
again after that, it installs without a problem. I find this behaviour of
apt quite odd, to be honest, but maybe my knowledge of the program isn't as
good as it should be.
