Subject: totem: Should provide different desktop files for different backends
Package: totem
Version: 1.2.1-3
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

I'm always struggling between gstreamer and xine backends ...

Well, I think two different MIME handler schemes should be provided
for these two backends. The reason is, gstreamer and xine have not
the same capabilities of playing media files. For example, totem-xine
cannot play flash, and totem-gst cannot open rmvb files on the other
hand. So, it may be appropiate if totem-xine and totem-gst have
different MIME handler configuration sections in their desktop files.

Thank you.
