Package: gnome-terminal
Version: 2.8.0-2
Severity: wishlist

I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to the gtk2 version of
gnome-terminal. It really is much much clunkier than the old gtk1
variant, both when scrolling and when waiting for it to load. :(

I have noticed, though, that the "new terminal" menu option from an
existing gnome-term is significantly faster than running a new one from
scratch. So perhaps it's time to use a wrapper, à la mozilla?

If you take a closer look, there is only one gnome-terminal process on
your system, no matter how many tabs and windows you have open. To be a
bit clearer, that is already how it works.

Closing, thanks.
