Bug#378341: Installation of nvidia driver crashes gnome-panel's applet

After installing nvidia driver(from nvidia website) ShowDesktopButton, 
WindowList and
WorkspaceSwitcher crashes on Gnome. It occurs after every 6/7 restarts when 
i login with
gdm. It gives 3 error messages saying "ShowDesktopButton, WindowList and
WorkspaceSwitcher have stopped unexpectedly. Do you want to restart them?" 
Then I
had to select yes to restart all of them. This problem exists in debian 
sarge 3.1r2(on
kernel 2.6.8-2-386).

I suggest that the gnome-panel package be fixed.

I'm using GeForce3 Ti200 video card.
