Bug#355261: gnome-applets: drivemount_applet2 : should wait until unmounting finished

Package: gnome-applets
Version: 2.12.3-1
Severity: important

When unmounting a volume with the drivemount applet, unmounting seems to be done asynchronously to the display of the status of the volume in the icon.
The icons show the volume as unmounted while it's still unmounting, for instance flushing modifications made to a slow device like USB memory.
If the user trust the status and ejects the unit physically, it has great chances to breaking the filesystem (or the device).

I think the applet should only display unmounted units when umount has finished.

Severity important since can lead to data corruption pretty easily !

Best regards,
