That certainly handles the bulk of the request, which concerned the
proliferation of windows as much as the command line option per se.
(If I want multiple windows, I can still do it with a for loop.)
I still maintain it would be convenient to be able to control such
things at invocation, but I am perfectly fine with closing the bug at
this point.
