I think this is related to bug 397441 that I filed some time ago (probably
against the wrong component). To summarize what I said there, it seems that the
sshfs program is killed as soon as nautilus (or gnome-vfs) is given back the
control; protecting sshfs with screen (the simplest hack I could find to test)
works around the problem.
