Hi,

I should clarify, Rhythmbox 0.9.8 makes use of the audio profiles in
GNOME 2.16. You can specify what sound device to use for music, movies,
sound events, audio conferencing and so on.

If you still feel you have a need to specify the soundcard used by
rhythmbox I suggest you file a feature request in the GNOME Bugzilla.
