Hi,

This bug report actually belongs to gtk+ as evo and evince now uses
gtkprint. GTK+ uses cups by default (as it's the default in debian now).
You can configure it to use the lpr backend like this;

        gtk-print-backends = "file,lpr,cups"

You can set this in ~/.gtkrc-2.0 or system wide in /etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc.
