I think you could replace the message in the patch with the one you
found, so it'll be translated. I don't think that could be confusing
(it's just an informative text, and semantically both say the same), but
it's not my decision. You should do what's better for Debian, I'm just a
happy Debian user :-)

FWIW, If I'd noticed that string earlier, I'd probably have used it for
the patch in trunk.
