Bug#407033: gnome-menus: After upgrade to Etch: Applications menu is empty and never gets populated

I don't think this is related, but KDE providing these files defeats the
point of the applications-merged directory :/

What happens if you move away this file ? Don't remove it entirely: if
not having it does improve the situation, please send it instead.
