Sounds like things are moving in the right direction at least :)

I'm not sure what the GStreamer errors are about, but it would be
helpful if you could list the GStreamer versions you are using (dpkg -l
| grep gstreamer0.10 from a terminal would do it) and how
gstreamer-properties is set up for Audio.
