 This denotes an error in the package providing the xcb pkg-config file,
 not glib.  It seems libxcb1-dev should depend on libpthread-stubs0-dev
 (providing pthread-stubs.pc).

 It would be best to patch the .pc file to use the Requires.private
 layout if this pkg-config file is only useful for static linking, and
 require pkg-config 0.20.
