Would this error sometimes show as the following textual example:

ERROR NAME;
    undefined
COMMAND:
    ESPwl
OPERAND STACK;

I believe I'm experiencing the same if that is the case.
I also believe there could be a broader set of cups related failures in gnome
applications, nearly every application using gnome that interacts with cups
seems to be erroring out in some way.

Gnome version is 2.18.1 dont have debug versions of anything to work with.
