Bug#427510: gconf2: multiple application failure on sparc64

Package: gconf2
Version: 2.18.0.1-3
Severity: important

This afternoon I did a regular dist-upgrade, and following it found that
numerous applications fail including

 - iceweasal
 - evolution
 - epiphany
 - gkrellm

the apps start normally but after around 30 seconds just hang and are no longer
drawn (eg, shade/unshade firefox and see just a grey rectangle). They are
still in the process table an kan be killed with a kill -9

I do not know the cause, but since gconf2 was updated and all of the applications
are gtk, this is my best guess, I could be wrong (in which case apologies!).

I have the same gconf2 on debian/x86 and PPC with no seeming ill
effects.
