Bug#428379: update-manager: Install dependencies of packages that it doesn't upgrade

So, I am looking at this problem, and trying to reproduce it here I
found out that the versions of the packages you mentioned (bochbios,
vgabios, proll and openhackware) have not changed on sid since etch has
been released.

I'm wondering what version update-manager was trying to update them to,
given that, are you still able to reproduce the problem? I'll try to
reproduce with another set of packages.
