Hi,

I observed some more details: the skip only happens with digital audio.
If I enable the internal speaker in my Mac mini, I can hear the tracks
from the very bedinning, and half of a second later I can also hear
them in the speakers over the digital output.

One could argue that something in my audio setup is fishy, but this
only happens in rhythmbox. I tried mplayer and xmms and both hadn't the
skip problem.
