 While uncommon, it's incorrect on the part of gedit.  There are two
 approaches to the problem: make gedit-common pull gedit (since it's
 useless without gedit) or move the .desktop file to gedit.

 Given the size of the desktop file, I suggest we move the file in all
 cases, but IMO it's best to fix both problems.

 @Sven: could you please:
 - add a Recommends: gedit on gedit-common (unversionned should be ok);
   depends would not be ok as we already have a depend in the other way
   arounds, to this would be a dependency circular loop which is to be
   avoided
 - move the file from gedit-common to gedit and add a versionned
   "replace" for the move?  you might want to add a conflict as well,
   this is a matter of style
